A 20-member delegation of the Punjab Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association will hold a meeting with Member Tax Policy of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Dr Hamid Attique Sarwar on Tuesday (today) to discuss an issue of imposition of General Sales Tax (GST).

Association General Secretary Rana Muhammad Shahzad told media that the delegation will be led by Association Chairman Muhammad Ahmad and it will include jewellers from across the province. "We will apprise the FBR top brass about hardships being faced by the jewellers due to imposition of GST. The delegation will also give suggestions on possible alternate to the GST," he added.
